Coutinho has signed for Aston Villa on loan from Barcelona until the end of the season. Villa manager Steven Gerrard played with the skilful Brazilian attacker at Liverpool and described his former team mate as a ‘magician’.
Coutinho has generated huge excitement amongst the Villa fanbase and represents an ambitious move for the Midlands club. He joins Villa after a disappointing spell at Barcelona, who signed him for a club record fee of £142 million in 2018.
